I watched Paths of Glory (1957) for the first time and briefly reviewed it. This may be obvious, but it is a remarkable film. It subverted my expectations tremendously. I’m not someone who typically goes in for war films, so even those who might be skeptical based on the subject matter should not overlook this film.
