Issue #177: "I don't know if loss is the best name for what survives"

It is always an absolutely miserable affair when I have to begin the newsletter on a dour note. But the significance to me of the people who have passed away commands it. Timothy Parker, Lauren Berlant, and Brendan Maguire have died in the intervening time since my last newsletter. They were all artists and made profound contributions to their crafts.
